As potentially hazardous road conditions continue to persist, city offices will be closed today (1/29). Offices will reopen Thursday, January 30th at 8AM, but employees and residents should continue to monitor local radio, Facebook, regional TV, or the city web page for any changes. Accordingly, trash collection has been postponed one day and will recommence on Thursday. Wednesday’s pick up has been moved to Thursday. Thursday’s pick up has been moved to Friday. Additionally, Sixth Street Bridge remains closed to vehicular traffic due to ice. Residents are encouraged to stay off roads until conditions improve. Regardless of weather conditions, emergency and essential personnel will continue to serve the public as needed. To report a power or water outage, residents should call 229-6406. Due to the anticipated call volume, we ask residents to be patient when calling in. For all other emergencies, residents should call 911.
