As previously noted, the support has been overwhelming. But it’s also worth noting the critics/apologists. Typically they start their sentences with “What happened was shocking BUT….”. I equate this with “I apologise BUT….” or “Some of my best friends are Jewish BUT…”. There are no ifs or buts in this case. What transpired is outrageous – the abuse, the cover-ups and the ongoing intimidation. I have never claimed to be perfect and neither have my parents – we are all fallible. It’s long overdue for those who are steadfastly defending the Yeshivah Centre or incessantly attacking me/my family/our supporters to reflect on their views and actions. No matter the spin, the facts aren’t going to change.
