As promised I am donating $100 to a charity today. It was definitely an eye opener to see just how many people (and their animals) are directly effected by such a diverse range of illness, injustice, pain and or suffering both mentally and physically. I have put some thought into the charity that I am going to donate towards and I have decided that Beyond Blue is deserving. Beyond Blue is an organisation that understands depression and anxiety, empowers people to seek help when in need, and supports recovery, management and resilience. Mental illness is a silent killer and there are so many people who suffer from some form of mental illness that never get help until it is to late. It is simply building awareness of these type of issues that must be the first port of call in trying to minimise love ones that are lost to mental illness.
