As promised...fishing report and photos below. It was a cracker of a weekend, first trip out on Saturday with the weather report predicting its going to be like a washing machine...but with the water temperature up amd heaps of bait around there was no stopping me . With a good swell smashing over the beach where i launched it had to be quick and perfect. With boat in and ready to rock n roll its was time to fill the tank up with squid and before we new it the baits were out and 1st king was on line screaming. The rod buckled over with13 kg of drag peeling from the reels I finally got him up. A good 110cm fish and very fat. I have so much respect for these kings, the power and strength they have always seem to amaze me and still get the heart pumping . Next... with the sounder lighting up with bait it was now my mate moeys turn.bang!! He was on.. started screaming off the Stella then PING it bustwd off. would of been a 15kg fish oh will we caught another 1mtr fish and a few 90cm fish was a great day out with a good mate . Ok so i got home and the pretty gf off mine was like babe i feel like catching a big fat king like in nz i ok i try my best the next morning it was like a lake out there bait tank full again off we went i said 1st fish is yours as i said that the rod goes off and bang i must say shes handles the rod like a pro and better then what i see most people do .what can i say she learns from the best lol. after a while the fish is up a nice 105 fish .thats my girl. Heaps of fish caught that day and some big bonnys too. Below are some pics of pur catches and also some pics of the fresh squid inside the bait tank. You will notice how i hook them up. This is important becasue it keeps them alive and helps them swim perfect.... just remember..if its not alive..its not fresh enough. Pump and wind guys pump and wind.
