As promised here is the video that Mr Barton sent to local Councillors. WARNING, it is graphic, and is the same video on youtube. We wanted to show you this, so that we cannot be accused of posting a one sided argument. We UNDERSTAND that bTB costs farmers a lot of money, it cannot be about the slaughtering which is routine practise for them, to say this slaughter hurts any more than routine slaughtering just discredits the farmers argument. Be honest and say it is about the loss of money. However, how many times do people of all scientific backgrounds need to say KILLING BADGERS, OR ANY WILDLIFE, WILL NOT HELP!! So we ask all farmers to look at cattle controls, look at cattle vaccines and focus where the problem is and not waste time, which only leads to more scenes like in this video, on culls which will have no long term benefit to the bTB problem whatsoever! Owen Paterson doesnt care about you, he doesnt care about the environment, PLEASE look at long term fixes which have been proven to work. Culling is not one of them.
