As promised, part Six of my seven part mini study: Speaking of fellowship, I remember my mom always telling me that I need to watch who my friends are because your friends make you. So I decided to start fellow-shipping more with believers who have a personal relationship with God and who believe in the power of God’s Holy Spirit without neglecting the Bible as being their guide. Hebrews 10:25 says, “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” NIV. We should enjoy experiencing God in our lives! We won’t regret having a relationship with our Heavenly Father! Many people fall victim to not understanding that the Lord never promised that Christians wouldnt struggle. In fact, In John 16:33 He said, “In this world you have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.” This world is a dark and evil place where trouble is the norm, not the exception. It’s not that Christians won’t have trouble from time to time; it’s that we shouldnt let our troubles discourage us. We should know that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us (Romans 8:18) and that God is working everything together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). That means even the troubles we experience will bring blessings, in this life as well as in the next one. It’s all about who is in control of our lives.
