As promised yesterday we’re posting all flytips reported to us - TopicsExpress

As promised yesterday we’re posting all flytips reported to us this week to show the impact that the irresponsible actions of those that do it have on using up officer time that costs everyone in the borough. Today we had 3 flytips that we investigated and we’d like to hear from you if you have any information about these that could lead to a prosecution. The first one was sofas on Tootell Street, Chorley, and has been passed to Chorley Community Housing as the landlord. The second one was on Hic Bibi Lane, Coppull, and cost more than £300 in officer time removing the rubbish. The third one was in the alley-gated area on Longton Street, Chorley, and cost around £50 to deal with – we think we may know who did this flytip and are investigating. It’s frustrating for our officers having to spend time clearing up other people’s rubbish and just today it has cost taxpayers around £350 to deal with. If you do see flytipping don’t touch it and report it to us at chorley.gov.uk or call 01257 515151.
