As reactions still trail the political crisis rocking Ekiti State over the inauguration of the State Governor-Elect, Mr Peter Ayodele Fayose, a human right group in Nigeria, the Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice(CHRSJ) has told the outgoing governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi and his supporters, including the State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and members of a group, Ekiti -11, that no amount of propaganda and political instigated crisis could stop the inauguration of Mr Fayose on October 16 , 2014 as duly and democratically elected governor of the State by the people of the State. The Centre which has been advocating for the proper investigation through the independent Commission of inquiry into the political crisis that engulfed the State which lead to the attack on the State judicial arm of government recently, insisted that nothing should stop Mr Fayoses inauguration, commending those stand behind the truth since the recent Ekiti saga which was the handiwork of enemies of governor-elect in the opposition groups. Meanwhile, the Rights group also throw its weight behind the on going strike action embarked upon by the teachers of the public primary and post-primary schools in the State over unpaid monthly salaries by the Kayode Fayemi-led government, faulting Fayemi for being insensitivity to the plight of the teachers in the State at the twilight of his administration. This was contained in a Statement issued and signed by the Executive Chairman of the group,Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman and a copy was made available to newsmen in Abuja yesterday, saluted the courage of the National Judicial Council (NJC) by taking the bull by the horn for directing Inspector General of Police(IGP) to investigate the matter without fear or favour of any party in the crisis, insisting that Governor Fayemi,Ekiti-11 and the judicial arm of the State should be blamed for the crisis. Comrade Sulaiman maintained that no individual or group of persons could subvert the will of Ekiti people which they exercised freely during the June 21st, 2014 governorship election, saying that Dr Fayemi could not secure second term bid through the back door of Ekiti-11 after he had accepted this defeat twenty -fours(24) hours after the announcement of governorship election by the Independent national Electoral Commission(INEC) . CHRSJ wants to use this medium to urge all lovers of democracy in and outside Nigeria not to allow Dr Fayemis intrigues to stand because we see it as undemocratic, evil, ungodly and anti-people. Dr John Kayode Fayemi had lost his bid to secure the second term in office and he(Fayemi) had earlier made a history by accepting his defeat in the governorship election in good faith, but his (Fayemi) orchestrated political abracadabra that lead to the present political stalemate in Ekiti State will portray Fayemi as untrue democrat or pretending democrat which it may affect his future political career. It is better for Dr Fayemi to leave the governorship seat in October 15,2014 peacefully without listening to the third force that wanted to fight for him.Feyemi should know one thing that once Dr Fayose had contested and won the election landslide, every case against Fayose as regard the election had been closed. We want to use this medium to appeal to all stakeholders in the State to make the State governable for any governor in the interest of the masses of the State,Sulaiman added.
