As requested by Reg Ford, Day 2: Mostly uneventful (at least to day 1). I strolled around and took the tub (subway) to this place called camden which is basically just a incredibly vast market. Dwarfed anything Ive ever seen like that before. Then got back to the hostel and met up with Tamara and she pointed me to Buckingham palace. Also an incredible sight, though different. I always imagined it on a really large courtyard and its kind of surrounded on all sides by streets. Also, theres only two guardsmen there. which was a tad disappointing but still a pretty substantial sight to take in. Got back to kings cross station and decided to go questing for food, got lost again. found my way back and went to the hostel and was watching a movie when oh surprise surprise, the greasy hippy next to me brought up some greasy girl he picked up from the clashbar downstairs and they proceeded to get greasy in a room with all these people in it. now not to say i was really taken aback by it, Its a youth hostel and you didnt pay for privacy but what really took it is after he kicked her out like the extraordinary gentleman he clearly is, he went back downstairs till the clashbar closed, then went to bed and snored like a chainsaw. That was awful. definitely woke everyone up with his newfound sleep apnea, actually he woke himself up. Theres also a curiously musty, damp smell in the room which I can only imagine is coming from him. Its bad enough the staff were super amazing and brought in a fan and some decent scented cleaning liquid and air freshener so hopefully going back to a better smelling room. Now its time to draft a CV (a more detailed version of a resume, which they use over here) Then Im off to go find a job and hoping for something at a place like Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, the clove club, 69 colebrooke row, or Lanima. Wish me luck!!
