As salaamu alaikum All, Jazak Allah khair to my friend Umm - TopicsExpress

As salaamu alaikum All, Jazak Allah khair to my friend Umm Hudhayfah Brenda Manning for posting this exerpt of what the late Joan Rivers said. Although I do not agree with what Ms. Rivers said, I am appalled by the Muslims who were on Facebook stating that they were praying for her death. That just seems so wrong to me. She had a right to have a political opinion and for that opinion not to be harmonious with the opinion of us Muslims. Heck she had the right to be wrong as well. In my opinion, Muslims seem more wrong because we have truth on our side, we have the literal word of Allah available to us if we both red to avail ourselves of it; yet, we do nothing. My husband and I discussed this last night, and I was vehement that we do not know the Qadr of Allah so how do we have the right to pray for the death of Joan Rivers a paid comedienne, and provocateur? From my understanding the more correct course was to make dua for her guidance and understanding. How can we pray for the death of this one person when billions of American tax dollars support the Israeli military, social infrastructure, economy, etc? Muslims, especially immigrant Muslims who chose to do whatever it took to get to America, have killed more Muslims than the mere inflammatory words of the late Joan Rivers ever could have. General Sisi and Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, Muammar Qadafi, Sadam Hussein, Asad of Syria, the former dictator of Tunisia and Algeria, the kings of Saudi Arabia, etc. all bare the blood of their fellow Muslims, Christians, and indigenous Jewish communities on their hands, but we do not collectively pray for their deaths. The ones that were deposed were deposed by their citizens because they were unjust, corrupt leaders. For me, I think the folks that were almost boasting about praying for this one persons demise need to reflect on their motivations, and seek taubah. Joan Rivers made inflammatory remarks which are just words, but a percentage of everything you purchase from certain companies like Pepsi, Coke, CVS, Starbucks goes directly to the treasury of the Israeli state which directly murders, tortures, and rapes Muslims. Likewise a certain portion of every tax dollar is spent to design, test, manufacture, and gift to the Israeli state for the direct murder of Muslims on an almost daily basis. So, again I do not like what Ms. Rivers said, but her words have much less impact than your, our, tax dollars do. In my opinion, instead of praying for the death of people that we do not agree with, as if Allah (SWT) held a conference or trial against that person and invited us to sit on the jury, authu billah, we should make dua for the right guidance of the person instead. Praying for their death when we had the tools of dawah to educate and introduce them to the Word and Deen of Allah (SWT) is a smudge on our record not theirs.
