A color coordinated ease of use label depicting the rear-facing mode instruction was positioned on the incorrect side of the base. The arrows on this label point towards the forward-facing belt path instead of the rear-facing belt path which could potentially cause confusion to the consumer. Dorel Juvenile is issuing a safety recall for certain Safety 1st and Eddie Bauer brand child restraints manufactured from July 20, 2010 through May 18, 2011. There is a potential for the consumer to be misled or confused when installing the child restraint in the rear-facing mode. We have received no complaints from consumers and just one comment from an interested party. Additionally there have been no incidents or injuries because of this labeling placement.
