As sheep huddled around a Shepard at the top of a hill, we huddle together around the single ray of Light shining down through the darkness. Out of fear, those among us along the outer edge look outward rather than inward. They fear turning their backs to the darkness because of weakness in FAITH that they cannot be harmed if they stay in the Light. They look out into the darkness and from it emerges enticing things, beautiful things, seemingly harmless and innocent things, things that appear to be in distress and need to be saved. They are enticed to step away from the safety of where the enemy cannot tread. • She falls by the allure of the strong and handsome, financially stable man of god without realizing that the only god he serves is himself. She submits to him, and he destroys her trusting soul. • He falls at the hands of the spirit of seduction. The painted eyelids, cloaked by waves of hair not her own. For deception lies in her eyes and she masks it by drawing attention elsewhere. She offers herself as a flesh offering to him and ensnares his soul, dragging it down into the pits of hell. And so, piece by piece and layer by layer, we succumb to these decoys, these men and women who are merely suits of flesh for the legion of darkness that hides within them. One by one, we fall. And very few of our own run out to snatch us back before it is too late. We huddle around The Light. For there we find the power of God! Be kindled by the light, them move outward to expand its borders. Do not do as the empowered ones who have run into the darkness alone and lost both their flame and their way, but stand together as the fortifying walls to a city. Drive back the darkness and shield the weaker brothers until the time comes where their own flame is established.
