As some of you know, I moved out a couple of months ago and in with Leslie Woods! We live just a few feet from MTSU campus, in a cute little town house on a very busy main street. Back in November I had the lovely opportunity of keeping Knox, a friend of mines dog! Knox is a one year old, 70lb brindle boxer. Cute as a button, wild as could be, anxious and eager to greet everyone he meets with loving and licking. He is such a well behaved dog that I dont even have to put him on a leash to take him out to potty. Today as Im walking along beside of Knox, he spots a man crossing the street. And as he or any excited dog would do, Knox ran out into the street and was hit by a woman traveling well over the speed limit. After being thrown a ten feet, Knox landed on his feet and took off running. As I take off after Knox, hysterical and scared forever of the brutal image of him being hit, three strangers appeared and offered their help. The older man was trying to check Knox for any cuts or broken bones, the young woman was trying to contact my mom and the older woman was trying to get me to stop crying lol. I believe these three strangers were Angels. Call me crazy but I believe in these types of things! The young woman on the phone with my mom knew my name. When my mom answered the phone the young woman replied with theres been an accident but Kaleigh is ok.....we have never met and I never once told her my name. The older man seemed to of be a doctor of some sort because he knew exactly everything to check for on Knox, broken bones, bleeding in his mouth, cuts on his body, even checked his eyes. And the older woman was so comforting to me, it was just like my mom was there with me. As I ran around to the front to unlock the back door where they were all standing with Knox, I opened the door to find only Knox. They were gone. I looked back into the street and in the parking lot and they were no where to be found. I was stunned. Still am. After rushing Knox to the vet immediately, he has no broken bones and only had to stay a few hours to treat his cuts and get some fluids. I believe they were all sent to me, to help me through that tragic moment. Call me crazy. But thank God for those three strangers.
