As some of you know, I work as a sub. teacher, today I went to work and within 15 minutes the school was in a lock-down mode. The children were lined up for enter the cafeteria to eat breakfast. That was at 7:45 AM school does not officially begin until 8 AM. I picked up the students and walked to the classroom. The entire campus was eerily quiet. I took roll call and 3 students were absent. As it turned out, one of my students was in another class. The lock down lasted til 10:20 AM. I had four students that needed to go to the bathroom. Two students were in tears from holding "it". I finally breathed a sign of relief at 2:40 PM when the students were picked up and on the way home. My eyes had well of tears....my stress reliever kicked in. Whew.....I am home and eating M&Ms and having a Pepsi....
