As some of you may already know, we WON the team of the week poll with Fox 5 Sports! We had more than 85,000 votes, which they say was amazing. What this means is they are coming to Woodstock on THURSDAY MORNING. They are doing LIVE segments on Good Day Atlanta starting at 8:10am and running through 9:30. We need as many MARCHING BAND kids as possible to arrive at the band room at 7:30 am on Thursday. We will wear our Show Shirts (you can bring clothes to change into for later if you want). Dont worry if you have to ride the bus. Thats fine. Just as soon as you arrive at WHS, please report to the band room, get your instrument and go directly to the pep rally. There is a meeting tomorrow to finalize the details on whether its going to be in the gym or the stadium. We will send another e-mail out as soon as everything is confirmed. During the times that we are NOT live -- they have some High 5 Sports gear that we can throw out to the students (t-shirts, water bottles, etc.). They be filming some of this behind the scenes action to post on the Fox 5 Youtube Channel. Here is the live info...can someone please record this for us? 8:10AM -- live tease -- this will be a roughly :45 - 1:00 live segment that will let viewers know where we are for the morning and that they should stay tuned for more. This is often a good chance to show the cheerleaders doing a cheer and to incorporate the band, playing a fight song or something like that. 8:35AM -- another live tease -- this is very short, :15 or so, usually featuring me standing with some spirited students and telling viewers that well have more of the Wolverines after the break! 8:40AM -- this will be our first full live segment, which will be roughly 2:30 - 3 minutes in length. Typically, Ill have the students cheer loudly and show their spirit, and have the cheerleaders/spirit team do some kind of quick performance. I also like to interview a school official here, or notable student -- whether its you, the athletic director, or otherwise -- giving them a chance to say a few words about what makes West Hall so special. Id love to have the band ready to play at the end of the segment, as we send it back to the studio. 9:15AM -- another live tease -- very short, :15 9:20AM -- this is the second full live segment (2:30-3:00 in length), and this is the trophy presentation for the football team. We generally introduce the team, then interview the coach about the team and the season. Then well present the High 5 Hand Trophy as the rest of the students cheer. It sure is exciting times!! Its GREAT to be a Woodstock Wolverine! =)
