As some of you may have noticed, The Fall Risk has undergone some lineup changes recently. Along with Phil leaving due to health issues and James DePrato coming on board as new lead guitarist, our longtime organist and dear friend, Sam Johnston has decided he can no longer keep up with our playing/rehearsal schedule due to a burgeoning environmental law practice and a hectic parenting schedule. We love Sammy and wish him all the best, and naturally hell sit in from time to time! Heres a message from Sammy to all of you: To the Fall Risk community ... Since I first hooked up with the Fall Risk a few years ago, it has not surprisingly evolved from a just-for-the-fun-of-it kind of thing into a serious business project. I have been honored to be a part of this growth. The band has produced what I believe to be a first-rate album (The Fall Risk Volume No. 1) and which I am proud to be a part of. But family life, and especially fatherhood and a career, have intervened since the days of Box Set; and as my time is in many ways no longer my own, I have to be careful with the limited time available. So the time has now come for me to make the choice to move on, to other musical endeavors, and of course focusing on my main gig as an environmental lawyer stopping corporate predators and polluters, and healing the Earth. I know the Fall Risk will become all it is capable of being, and I will continue to support the band in every way I can. So everybody please come see the band at the Sweetwater on Thursday May 8 and beyond! Support this fantastic, unique band of brothers! I am forever grateful to all the members of the Fall Risk and everyone in the Fall Risk community for all the support, and thanks also to all the professionals in the biz who have helped put the Fall Risk on the map: Bob G, Brian, Bill, Bo, Chris, Jon, everyone at TRI, and all the promoters, agents, publicists, and club owners and managers and folks and everyone else in between... Onward, as always..... Peaceout, ... Sammy
