As some of you may know I asked prayers for my mom last week, she started having excruciating pain in her right temple & down into her right cheek bone which then progressed up into her head, so painful she couldnt bare to touch it, we noticed that her right eye seemed to be red & inflamed also, the next day after the pain started we were very concerned thinking that as bad as the pain was for her, she could have dangerous results, so to the ER we went & after a CT Scan was done, which showed normal, she was diagnosed with Temporal Arteritus.She was prescribed some medicine & we were then sent to a Neurologist, which gave us a second diagnosis, it was something called Trigeminal Neuralgia, & he wanted an MRI to be done, this was last Tuesday, then on Wednesday the pain seemed to get worse, the medication wasnt helping much, so back to the ER again, the doctor stuck with the same diagnosis!! So in the mean time we got her an appointment for an eye exam & an MRI which was today, the eye exam completed we then go for the MRI, we were still sitting in the car when I noticed something wasnt right with her eye, I looked closer & realized it was a tiny blister which wasnt there this morning, also noticed some red blotches on her forehead, becoming really concerned but trying to be patient for her MRI!!!!...Finally a nurse came to get her & once we were in the room, I brought the blister to their attention, looking at me, Angie Bentley Howard says Im no doctor, but do you think she could have SHINGLES?, I say I dont know, I then go back to the waiting room with what Angie had insinuated strongly on my mind & mentioning it to my brothers, thinking it was a possibility I decided that when we arrived back in Salyersville we would stop by Alberee Healthcare & let one of the doctors take a look & guess what??????........ Sure enough Angie was exactly right, mom has SHINGLES!!!...Hopefully she is on the road to recovery, still very painful for her but at least its not as bad as the other 2 diagnosis..Im still asking Prayers for her, so please add her to your prayer list!!! Thanks Angie & like I told you earlier, you should have been a doctor!! 😜
