As some of you might have already heard, Latvia will take on a very important role in the first half of next year. We’re talking about the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. To mark the occasion and introduce Latvia to the 27 sisters it is going to lead, we decided to talk about who we, Latvians, are and what we’re like. We wanted to start with something a true leader needs: honesty. So we might not have the highest mountains, largest territory or summer that lasts all year round. Yet both Latvia and Latvians have much to share with the world. Sure, we may look reserved and quiet to a stranger, but once you get to know us, you find a truly friendly soul. We don’t always smile, but when we do – it comes from the heart. This is who we are. And we are looking forward to meet you! Honestly. :)
