As someone who grew up in the Bay Area activist scene where mass demonstrations almost become cliché, Im very touched to see all the ways that Missouri residents have come out to show their outrage, their love, and their dedication to justice. The block shown in this protest video is one I visited several times while living there and where I was told young people of color were often targeted as loiterers where young whites are seen as potential customers.
