As someone who has done a few Friday the 13th piercing - TopicsExpress

As someone who has done a few Friday the 13th piercing specials....for both clients and practitioners....be careful. I will never again do a $13 all in piercing. Friends of mine thinking this is a great tactic? I ask you to rethink. Sure you may do four times the amount on a normal busy day. You may even make way more money; but at the cost of quality and definitely at the cost of your personal worth. Doing these deals all the time, people expect it from you. Makes people not willing to pay full price. This is part of the shopping problem clients do. Clients...understand how busy these piercers are on days like this. They are in a rush to make money and get every piercing done. They may make mistakes they normally wouldnt make. As ALWAYS research your piercer. There are a lot of options in the valley, for sure. Make your body and quality the number one priority, not the price and convenience. As far as $13 tattoos. If you add a mandatory $7 tip, isnt it just a $20 tattoo? I feel like its easier to say and then they would tip on top. Youre limiting yourself. Same thing, also. You limit your worth. Ive been a part of these things. Ive seen this shit happen and Ive even made those mistakes out of haste and trying to do 151 piercings in a day. Yeah...I did 151 piercings the last time I did that event. It will never happen for me again. It will never happen at my shop. My artists have the choice to charge what ever they want, but I guarantee you, they will never lower their standards to make a few extra dollars.
