As someone who has worked in the funeral industry for 36 years, - TopicsExpress

As someone who has worked in the funeral industry for 36 years, operated crematoriums and owned one for the last 10 years. I can assure everyone that a properly operating crematorium emits nothing that you can see or smell. There are times when the rate of combustion in the main chamber of the machine (Where the body is) exceeds what the afterburner (This makes sure that what comes out the stack is clean) can handle. This is when you get the visual smoke &/or flames out of the stack. The video they keep showing is from earlier in the year, when the machine was first installed, to the best of my knowledge the problem the neighbors currently have is the noise from the machine. Air quality & soil samples at the school ? Just spin control from PPS. Neighbors not notified of the proposed installation of the crematorium ? Funny I paid the City of Portland over 4k for an impact study, had to mail letters and put up signs so my neighbors knew what of my intent to install a crematorium. I am not saying the people in Montavilla do not have valid concerns , but lets get some facts straight and not let the misinformed be the ones stirring the pot.
