As someone who suffers from depression (and yes that is an accurate word to describe it) and has found himself on the edge, ready to jump, I must say that Depression is very real and it is scary. Its not just a bad day. Its not just being sad. You are not yourself and at times it is like you are on the outside watching, not understanding why you are being like this. I am one of the happiest people I know and I battle this regularly, usually with a smile on my face. A smile can be a smile, but a smile can also be a mask. I want to take the tragedy of Robin Williams death and use it as proof of this. This is a man who was married, had 3 kids, was incredibly successful, wealthy, and famous. He brought joy and laughter to millions... and he took his own life. Rest in Peace. But this isnt about him or me. If you think you need help, get it. Dont be embarrassed. It starts with you. If you ignore it, it will only get worse... Hell, call me if you need to talk. RIP Robin
