As soon as I crossed the border, the agent giving me a smile and a happy trails, I immediately pulled over to the edge of the grass, took my helmet off, kneelt down and kissed the ground. I loved Canada, it is incredibly beautiful and the people were so great and kind to me. But there is nothing like the feeling of the USA. I suppose one could argue its because I was born here and that I would feel the same way about any other country if I was born there instead. But not so. The USA, with as much faults as it has, gives more money to other countries than another country does, helps weaker countries quicker than any other country does and is the leader in freedom worldwide. Our country has been the dream destination for freedom loving people everywhere and has since its beginning. We enjoy freedoms no other people from any other country enjoys. It is because of our heritage. It is because of the blessings this land comes with. It was Patrick Henry who said, It should never be forgotten that this country was founded by Christians. Not religionists, but Christians, following the pure doctrines of Christ. This country comes with the blessings of Christ our Lord. This country, as long as we stay close to our Lord, will always be that special country of extraordinary freedoms.
