As sum1 who works at the race track every day,i will say thedo gooders are sumwat overacting today afta yesterdays cup.Most trainers treat thier horses very well.I will say there are sum that dont so much,but overall,very well lookd afta animals.An athlete person can die of a heart attack any age any time!And as 4 the argument that people choose to run,animals dont! Thoroughbreds are bred to run.most of our horses thrive on getting onto the track every morning, and if they have the day off 4 sum reason, they feel like they,ve missd out on the fun stuff.As 4 the Araldo incident,it was a pure simple accident,but in saying that i do beleive the crowd are a bit close 4 comfort to the mounting enclosure etc,so maybe thats a slight argument with hyped up ,fit,fully graind horses and lotsa drunk party goers..
