As the Aug. 20 broadcast of the Emmy-winning documentary Body Maps: Transplantation Inside and Out on KET nears, we will feature the recipients involved and their art. Charlene Charlie Gillispie had a kidney transplant in 1966 when her mother was her living donor. Charlie was 15. This canvas is only part of my story. Being artistically challenged, I do better with words. I feel I have accomplished great things, most of which going to school, becoming an LPN/KCSA and hopefully helping others since the age of 16. My journey is 46 years and counting -- this little light of mine -- I have to let it shine! Live life!
