As the Australian Open finals match slipped away early this - TopicsExpress

As the Australian Open finals match slipped away early this morning, this is what the announcer said of TLC and Gustavus great Eric Butorac: Eric Butorac, still with that ever present smile on his face. Sometimes, all you can do is stand and applaud your opponents. Eric and and partner Raven Klaasen did just that at the end. There is no other way to put it. Their opponents played spectacular tennis and won the Australian Open 6-3, 6-3. But rather than lament missed opportunities, Eric and Raven gave credit to their opponents. And the last thing Eric said to the cameras, with his big smile, was I want to say hi to my wife and my six week old son. Ill see you tomorrow! Now thats magic… P.S. We are in the middle of a TLC Winter retreat with kids and chaperones from InnerCity Tennis, St. Paul Urban Tennis, Fred Wells Tennis and Education Center, USTA, Aitkin (MN), and Eau Claire (WI) Y. We are having fun and talking about becoming aware of our prejudices and building bridges to others. These kids have ever present smiles. Thanks to your support, we are able to provide every one of these kids with a scholarship to attend. Were grateful. And smiling.
