As the Bay Area grows by 2.1 million people between now and 2040, its crucial that the region add sufficient housing, transit capacity, and job capacity to handle the growth. If we meet this challenge, the region will continue to be a diverse, innovative, creative hub. If we dont, the region will struggle. We recently hosted presentations at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission for Oakland, San Francisco, and San Jose to discuss their plans for meeting the housing, transit, and jobs goals of the recently adopted Plan Bay Area.
