As the Chapter Captain and fellow veteran I fell like I should share this with the team since we are all about Veterans and trying to make a better life for them... A fellow brother, Cpl Chris Couitcher, was someone who was known thru my family and our friends. As a corpsman, I have a special bond with Marines. Chris served in both Iraq and Afghanistan and served his country with honor. Those that have served in a war zone know that part of you never returns home. Chris dealt with PTS (I refuse to call it a disorder) and survivor’s guilt ever since his 2010 deployment to Afghanistan... I found out a few days ago, that Chris took his own life on the 18th. Please, if you read this or you know someone who is struggling or just needs a friend to talk them off the cliff then reach out! 22 a day is 22 too many... If any of the teammates here running the MCM could do me the honor and run that race in his memory since of course he was a Marine.. I would be forever grateful.
