As the Haass talks begin, representatives of the four main churches, including the Methodist Church in Ireland, have released a joint statement encouraging our leaders and the community as a while to seek the common good at this most opportune of times. It is hoped that as many people as possible will sign the statement, share it with others, and take action to encourage peace. Our Methodist President, Rev Dr Heather Morris, along with some other church representatives, will meet Richard Haass next Thursday at 12 noon. Please remember this meeting in your prayers.
