As the Israeli-Palestinian conflict continues, I find it interesting that my friends who are sharing their thoughts on the matters are split about eveningly, some in favor of Israel, and others in favor of the Palestinians. It gives you the root of the problem that doesnt seem to have a solution any time soon. We are well well-entrenched in our beliefs for and against. Its like night and day, its unbelievable. Another thing Ive noticed is that the support for or against is also geographical, with those on the East Coast, Midwest, and South predominantly in favor of Israel, and those on the West Coast, Europe, and the Gulf Countries predominantly in favor of the Palestinians. Race has not been a factor. I have a friend (LP)who is as Zionist as they come, and hes black, and another friend (DM) who is at the opposite spectrum of LP. DM is also black. My Arab friends are like, crazy Jews and my Jewish friends are like, crazy Arabs. Some of friends in the South are like, darn A-rabs are all terrorists...kill em all and one of my friends posted on Facebook a quote from Hitler on why he wanted to exterminate the Jews (My kids are half Jews, so Im not sure if he would only half-baked them when he put them in his oven). This brings me to a Shakespearan quote, “O judgment! Thou art fled to brutish beasts, and men have lost their reason.” #Israel #Palestinians
