As the Leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar had repeatedly accused the then AICC General Secretary Margaret Alva of being very corrupt and had on several times demanded a CBI probe against her. But now he has no choice but to embrace her as his Goa Governor despite the BJP at the centre. For Manohar Parrrikar after all those brickbats it will now be greeting and bowing down to Margaret Alva with flowers. For Margaret Alva it will be a very short stint but much to Manohar Parrikar’s acute consternation she will remain in the history books as Goa’s former Governor. 72 year old Margaret Alva who is currently the Governor of Rajasthan will be administered the oath of office by Bombay High Court Chief Justice Mohit Shah on Saturday 12th July at Raj Bhavan as Governor of Goa, another additional charge besides already holding charge as Governor of Gujarat. Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s body language at that solemn function will say it all. But for sure he will not be distributing Pedas at Alva’s swearing in ceremony.
