As the Redbacks move into our 7th year we have been looking at how we might be able to provide support to a charitable organisation that fits with our membership and our philosophy. With those aims in mind starting in 2015 the Redbacks charity of choice will be beyondblue Hope. Recovery. Resilience. beyondblue is the national initiative to raise awareness of anxiety and depression, providing resources for recovery, management and resilience. So how are we going to help ? During 2015 as part of our regular season we will have three games that will be designated as beyondblue match days. On these days we will ask for voluntary donations from the members to raise some funds. We will be investigating the option of an Interclub charity match with the winner receiving the beyondblue cup. Whilst the monetary support is key, a big part of this is raising awareness and that the process of taking action and seeking support is courageous. We look forward to working with this great organisation.
