As the decades go on and we Americans have reached out and accepted more and more groups of people (although it might have been difficult to do so): the Blacks, the Irish, the Native Americans, the disabled, the mentally challenged, the gays... we are becoming more and more Christ-like. His message got through to us. I think of this whenever I see the corners of sidewalks tapered so that disabled people can ride their chairs up onto the sidewalk. Occasionally, as I am flipping the TV remote, I come across some authority figure complaining that Americans have thrown out God, I hasten to change the channel. What I cant understand is that some of these authority figures supposedly read their Bibles.
