As the dj epidemic grows, more and more people are making that - TopicsExpress

As the dj epidemic grows, more and more people are making that decision due to shortcuts available, awesome, but a few things to consider, traditionally djing was a skill driven task allowed only to the best, you had to be it to be it, nowadays, all and sundry can push one button, do their practiced dance and be number one. Now if you consider how much people pay including drinks to listen to you listen to you ply your trade, are you honest? Is it a piece of your soul shared with friends or are you cheating, no clue as to what you should be doing and relying on technology to make you look good? Is your primary purpose for playing the music the joy of playing the music and being better than you were before or are you just hoping to get laid? Is your musical choice for this set and others specific? Do you carefully choose what you play and where and what time or is the same crappy set wherever you go? Do you try to understand your dancefloor from a deeper perspective, reading into the souls of your faithfuls to understand what they want or is it Rogers advice only? And lastly as an additional, if you chose not to sync your next mix, will you work again?
