As the good weather continues into September in London with the sun splitting the sky I wanted to share the following: Here is my starter juice recipe for anyone deciding to introduce Vegetable juices for breakfast instead of a Sugary, Carbohydrate breakfast why not chose a nourishing revitalizing veggie juice: Organic Vegetables are best for making all juices: 6 Carrots 1 Apple ( Braeburn, granny smith, pink lady....organic ideal if not peel the skin off the apple before using) Half a cucumber Half a head of Celery Two large handfuls of spinach A small knob of ginger 10-15 mint leafs A squeeze of lemon ( this is optional, I added this to my own juice yesterday and it gave it a lovely kick) Juice all the above ingredients, pour straight away into a glass and sip slowly to allow the enzymes to begin to work within your mouth, consume ideally within 20 minutes. If you are saving some of the juice to bring to work or to consume later that day, place in a thermos flask or air tight bottle (PBA free bottle) and store in the fridge.
