As the holiday season approaches its time to reflect on all that we have to be Thankful for and it also reminds me that my sweet niece Brooke was taken from us way too early. At 18 months Brooke was diagnosed with cancer and fought for a year but ultimately lost her battle. During birthdays, holidays, and treatments the Ashley Lauren foundation was there for our family in so many ways. They provided moments of happiness in some of the darkest days. It has been my mission and my way of honoring Brooke to give back to this organization whenever I can so they can again help children in the New Jersey area fighting their battle. I am now taking donations for their annual Holiday wish drive. New toys for children ages 5-16 gift cards clothes etc. Please know these small gestures will have made a significant difference in the life of a child with cancer.
