As the holidays are approaching, I have been reflecting. I have been abundantly blessed, yet, lest my post fall into the trap of perfection OR despair, as many of our lives appear in social media, I will be transparent and say, while blessed beyond measure, my life is far from perfect. There are days I am overwhelmed with life! When our families hurt, we hurt and this year we have had our share of those days! Beginning 2014, we lost our family patriarch, hubby has suffered from a botched knee repair, our Raylan had several surgeries, and hearing struggles. He has suffered with multiple staph infections. Shari is recovering from difficulties from childbirth, BUT as in todays sermon....God has been there in every struggle and He has never left us without comfort! We have just received the miracle blessing, Thanksgiving morning, Owen River! He is like having dejavu! Our grandchildren are without doubt the joy of our aging years! 5 handsome princes and 1 beautiful princess! How did 1 West Texas girl and 1 Central Texas boy, have such blessings bestowed? I am in awe! So, the days life gives lemons, Ill add the sweet sugar of my grands and drink refreshing lemonade! I wish I could take each friend and family member into our home this season and share Christmas cheer, since time and distance does not permit, join us in a few pictures of our home and know....we wish you joy and peace at Christmas!
