As the media frenzy continues around the death of Joan Rivers and the state is investigating into what happened at the clinic and reports say that her daughter is contemplating filling a medical malpractice case against the endoscopy center, I want to take this opportunity to remind you all that this happens every day, all the time in surgery centers, hospitals and drs offices across the country! And sadly quite often in NJ!! Its sad to see how quickly the state got involved to investigate and media willing to report details when the COMPLETE OPPOSITE occurs regularly when this happens to the average person...and way more frequently than you would like to think! If anything good comes out of this, I hope it makes people more aware that medical errors do occur to everyone and sometimes they are genuine mistakes or bad results and other times...not so much!!
