As the new session starts, we renew our commitment to provide world class holistic education, the best facilities and ensure that every student gets the most conducive hassle free environment to study, perform and excel. University rules are simple, pro-student progress and at the same time implemented with earnest. Following are some important instructions and information for your ward Name, Enrolment number, Program & Semester pertaining to the Academic Session 2013-14. 1. The Academic Session commences on ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬10 / July / 2013. 2. Promotion Criteria: Promotion is semester based and entirely student performance dependent. Student has to maintain minimum SGPA & CGPA as specified by AUUP Rules. The “Students Passing & Promotion Criteria” booklet provided to your ward is both exhaustive and easy to understand. All this information is also available over Amizone. 3. Tuition Fees: a. Without Fine: up to 20 June 2013 b. Fine @Rs. 50/- per day: 21 June 2013 – 1 July 2013 c. One Time Fine of Rs. 7,500/-: 02 July 2013 – 22 July 2013 (*Details of Tuition Fee Payment Modes are explained in attached Annexure 1.) 4. Re-Registration & Orientation Program: A two day orientation program shall be held from date of commencement. Attendance for orientation is compulsory and the student should also:- a. Report & Re-Register on AMIZONE b. Submit the re-registration form and fee receipt to Head of Institution for activation of attendance. 5. Attendance: Attendance is marked On-Line over Amizone. Some important points to note: a. Attendance is marked on the same day as the Class is held. It is important b. Attendance shall be recorded from the date of registration of student. c. 75% attendance is mandatory in each subject to be able to appear for end-semester exams for that subject. d. No excuse howsoever genuine can forego the 75% minimum requirement of attendance. Therefore, it becomes imperative for us all to ensure that our wards attend all classes from the very first day itself. Late payment of fees shall also not hold as an excuse for short attendance. 6. Anti Ragging: Amity is a Ragging Free Campus for benefit of all students. Supreme Court Ruling & UGC Directives demand extremely strict action against students found ragging. While affidavits & legal papers signed by you already should act as deterant for wards, please do counsel them not to participate or involve themselves in even the remotest way into any such act. On the other hand, they should bring to notice of competent authority, should they find such an act happening.
