As the newly reconstituted governing council of ADSU Mubi get set for the interview of applicants for the seat of the Vice-chancellor tomorrow may Allah in his infinite mercy give them the wisdom to elect a new vice chancellor who will galvanize the hitherto quasi ADSU community who were deliberately polarized on ethno religious chauvinism by the rogues and gangsters who have hijacked the management of the institution and made it look like a glorified secondary school or a local government secretariat. This led to the promotion of mediocrity where some people had to abandon their primary responsibilities and engage in blackmailing others simply for the aggrandizement of their parochial interest at the detriment of the system.May Allah give the new Vice chancellor the will to dislodge such enemies of the institution and also reverse some of the obnoxious policies such as the compulsory purchase of a netbook by parents which has let to high number of unregistered students due to the exorbitant rate.May Allah give him the wisdom to return back the university inline with the vision and mission of the founding fathers.May Allah bless the institution with a benevolent leadership and not a malevolent leader.May he be a democratic leader and not an autocratic one.May he be a compassionate one and not one that will want his followers to suffer.May he be one that will accomodate others views or opinions even when its at variance with his. May Allah guide the lecturers so that they can give the new vice chancellor the maximum support he desires to project the image of the university that is at its lowest ebb today. May Allah grant us learders not rulers.AMIN.
