As the strong area of high pressure continues to dominate our weather pattern, my attention turns toward the latest low that is already showing potential in the Atlantic. This disturbance continues to gain some strength as it moves E-NE, and conditions look to be more favorable for development by the start of next week. A few models hint landfall or a track close to the East Coast, however there is still a lot of time and numerous model runs to go through. With this hurricane season predicted to be an active one, it is very important to keep an eye out for tropical systems, and I alongside the rest of the NERWS team will be closely monitoring not only this system but other disturbances that form. ~EW
