As the sun falls below the horizon, the day is cast into the night. Where once there was joy, sadness remains. The shadows grow taller, within them reside the terrors of the night. The last of the light fades from the sky, the fear growing stronger. As the fright reaches its climax, another light appears. Not as strong nor as soothing, the moon does its best to comfort. The false sunlight wraps around, calming the unease. As the time passes, the moonlight becomes a friend, guiding through an otherwise dark time. Once we are accustomed to the soft beams, the sun begins to rise once more. As the sun reaches its apex, the moon is visible once again, smiling at those it has helped through the darkness.
