As these endtime movies about the rapture are pumped out, and people cash in on fear-mongering doomsday eschatology, its time for people who are studied on the subject to stand up and say that this is false teaching made up by John Darby in the 1800s, which gained enormous popularity in the evangelical church because of its endorsement by the famous Scofield Reference Bible which made the rounds in the American church in the 1900s. The rapture is an American teaching that is no more than 150 years old in the Churchs 2,000 year history. There is no rapture. Even if Nic Cage looks super cool in his new movie.
