As things are heating up with Syria, I think back to the days where we helped Bin Laden fight the Russians in Afghanistan. This crisis is eerily similar. This Administration has picked a side, and so have the Russians. We picked the side of the Rebels who are run by the Muslim Brotherhood and elements of Al Quaeda. The Administration says they are going to arm the Rebels. I contend that this has already been going on. Reports have already surfaced that arms have been run through a Libyan ship and arms dealer into Turkey and then to the Rebels in Syria. This is what the Ambassador in Libya was involved with. Pretty slick move by the Administration. If everyone on board supports arming the Rebels, then Benghazi is decreased in importance. There is no good solution to Syria. That said, I think that we should not get involved at all. We risk giving arms to Al Quaeda, and you know what that means. Here is a report from Russia Today on activity in the area.
