As this has sprung to being a keen topic of discussion, here are the details and facts for you to review. Feel free to ask me for clarification at the store if you have any questions. tks. 1. BFB has not banned WoD games from the store. We understand that many of you have spent a lot of money buying their books from BFB. So we certainly have no intention of stopping you gaming when you have supported BFB. But for *new members and players* we will actively promote and encourage you to play any other RPG. 2. You are all long time members and supporters of the store, you are always welcome to run WoD, if you desire to do so. 3. But lets look at what has happened. BFB introduced WoD to players in Thailand (though Wuffy was the guy who first ran it here for us), back then White Wolf was a great firm, they had great support, great prices and good retail support that helped us promote their games, both RPG and CCG, and LARP. Everyone was happy. 4. WW through various finanical issues turned into Onyx Publishing. First Onyx killed the CCG, meaning all the customers who had bought their card game, now had a dead game with no support. Then they killed print books. Meaning the stores that had promoted their games, run their games and supported their company, were basically told tough luck. 5. We asked Onyx about trade support. they said we could get 10% discount on purchases.... yes 10%. So in order to bring books over here, with shipping and tax...the prices would have doubled!!! 6. Even on their KickStarters their trade discount was only 10% + $50 per book for shipping!! So we had no way any more to get their books!! 7. I had to start buying ONE PDF to Print ONE book. 1 books 1 PDF 8. We contacted Onyx to ask if we could print their games locally because we wanted to continue to support theur games. To pay them a licensing fee like we do with ICE and Pelgrane. We discussed with four different people in their company over a period of 6 months. They did not want to listen to why we wanted permission to print all their books. They said no, they didnt care. They dont care about the people that bought their books and built their company and they dont care about gaming stores. 9. So we have no WoD books to sell, because they dont provide us with them to sell 10. So as a store we have had to decide not to promote or support WoD. And that makes me very sad because I have always enjoyed the game, but when a friend stabs you in the back....what can you do?
