As this miserable year winds down, let me review: 2014 started out poorly, and went downhill...I dare not enumerate the shootings, the beatings...those are daily bread which we are given in spades... In our home, we started out with my wife on disability, then she got a job, only to lose it again in two months because her employer decided he could hire two young idiots at half her price to do 1/16th the work..needless to say she was better off for that decision, but that led her to another 3 months of unemployment (with no benefits or $$)...she found another job, but it has no benefits either...so, with no health insurance, she almost died on Halloween night....she didnt...she instead spent 18 hrs in the ER, 4 days in ICU and three more in a ward...she is back, but wanna talk broke? As a nation, we proved that we are, in fact, exceptional...we are a nation with a remarkable ability to shoot ourselves in the foot, keep dancing, and then shoot ourselves again...repeat.... The midterm elections are proof positive that we have no intention of throwing off the yoke of plutocracy. We like kissing rich butt. Its comforting, apparently, to inhale methane. Well, breathe deeply--especially all you police apologists with your I Can Breathe t-shirts--because we have two years of an endless fart coming from the Koch kids... On the topic of police, well, what more needs to be said? The Thin Blue Line is fattening itself with ultra-military hardware, and is defying civilian authority to reign them in from their mission of jackbooting the populace into submission. Period. Good luck, Murika. But, hey...life goes on...2015 is right around the corner. Whoopee. Pass the noisemakers.
