As though Dakota County emergency services hasnt dealt with enough tragedy recently, theyre once again planning to lay one of their own to rest. Healtheast Paramedic Bruce Stafford faithfully and compassionately served the citizens of Dakota County for 35 years. Anyone who ever had the distinct pleasure of meeting Bruce would find an instant friend. Bruce was a genuinely nice man with a heart of absolute gold. He had a bedside manner that could calm the most nervous patients. Last night, Bruce died very unexpectedly, in his sleep. Healtheast Ambulance works very closely with the law enforcement and fire agencies in Dakota County.... theyre an emergency services family. Its been just over 90 days since the family tragically lost Mendota Heights Police Officer Scott Patrick. There wasnt ample time to recover from that tremendous loss and now the family will stand together once again to help out brothers and sisters who have been most affected by this loss. Bruce... you will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. I hope youve had a margarita with Scott and that hes shown you to the best model railroad store in Heaven.
