As time passes, it becomes more clear these so called free trade agreements, TPP, TTIP, of which we hear so little in the MSM, are akin, in a way to the so called global warming debate. There is no longer any debate about global warming, only confusion bred and spread by self-interested, global players; corporations (or individuals as corporations are deemed in the US) and other wealthy individuals and bodies across the globe. Their sole reason for doing this is merely to perpetuate discussion by obfuscation and doubt, while they quietly serve their single minded, supreme purpose of existence, which is to acquire yet more wealth by continuing the rape and plunder of the worlds’ resources. The breathtaking greed they display really is beyond understanding. But whilst it is so much easier to spread confusion about global climate change by introducing doubts – the arguments and precedents that are continually trotted out are now so boring – they do though, still cause confusion. On the other hand, these so called “free trade agreements” would be much easier for the public to get a handle on. People are far more sensitive to the possibility of declining incomes and wealth than they are of possibility of increasing temperatures. After all, I’ve heard it said it would be nice to be a bit warmer! The MSM, as always compliant and subservient to its’ corporate masters - and unfortunately to our elected governments as well, avoid not only headlining but also debating and generally even mentioning the issue. So, if these inter-corporation agreements are made then ratified by our governments, governance of our countries will effectively and legally be assumed by corporations – our politicians will do their bidding. George Carlin put it so much better than I ever could! “Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea you have freedom of choice. You dont. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land, they own and control the corporations thatve long since bought and paid for, the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pocket, and they own all the big media companies so they control just about all of the news and the information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else. But Ill tell you what they dont want. They dont want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They dont want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. Theyre not interested in that. That doesnt help them.”
