As today comes to a close, we received news of 3 displaced widows - TopicsExpress

As today comes to a close, we received news of 3 displaced widows being taunted on numerous occasions by a group of men seeking to harm them and exploit their children. With only the possessions they each could carry, they walked 9 kilometers into town to seek help from the local pastor knowing they could never to go back again. Once this very ugly situation was disclosed, the pastor offered shelter inside the church for them, but in their humility and humbleness, knowing that the limited church space was needed for worshiping, they gladly choose to stay on an undeveloped vacant lot that had been donated to the church within the Kilometro 54 community. Having no walls, no roof, no flooring, no food, no plumbing, no electricity - their hearts are full of joy praising God for his provisions because they are safe from harm with a hope of a better tomorrow. The children are excited because now they are close enough to start attending school, where before they lived too far to attend. So as we get ready to end our day in our homes, please lift up this family of 3 widows in prayer. I pray that hearts are moved by their story and their pictures. If you are moved to help them rebuild their lives, please leave a message with your contact information. Thank you all in advance for your prayers, generosity and support. - Uli & Sandi Reyes
