As usual ,I was reading the quran today to find some interesting things to write about. Today I am reading sura assafat ( 37) . We have shown you some verses in our previous post about the tree in the hell. Now verses 85-87 In short : Abraham says to his people why are you worshiping these idols ( that you have created yourselves ) who can not do anything for you . The context : Babylonians had a tradition of pilgrim . They used to put a lot of food among their idols , went out the city , had a good party . Then they came back and ate that food. They though that by having the food among Gods , they become blessed . Our questions is : Isn`t this exactly what you muslims do when you go to Mecca for pilgrimage ? The traditions are different . Muslims worship a black stone , kiss and they hope they will be blessed . They think that cube thing makes miracles. Each year they change the cover of that cube thing ( which is black clothing ) , make it in small pieces and muslims buy a small piece for a high price to get blessed. Saudi princes make millions of dollars each year selling those pieces . Then they bring the money here to Vegas and lose it all here. I say , they should change that covering 4 times a year . In That way our beloved Vegas gets more money.
